Exist Slip 2
Commenting on the discussion of Tyler’s group, I think instrumental learning should be introduced first so that children have basic understanding of a specific mathematical concept. Once the children have developed concrete knowledge on the topic, then relational learning is encouraged. At a certain level, implementing both instrumental and relational learning together is necessary. It really comes down to the nature of the specific topic. The two learning styles can make a good combination to help us to achieve the goal in learning mathematics, or any other subjects.
